Turner is a writer and actor and was born in
England.
She attended
Selhurst School for Girls, Principia College, and the Royal
Academy of Dramatic Art and was, briefly, a reporter on a South
London newspaper.
She has had four of her novels
published in the United Kingdom, the USA and Germany. Three
of her screenplays were shown on BBC television.
Her career as an actress includes

Loach. Charlotte Bronte in THE BRONTES
OF HAWORTH for Yorkshire Television, Olivia in TWELFTH
NIGHT at the Royal Court Theatre and the role of Sandy
in the original production of THE PRIME
OF MISS JEAN BRODIE opposite Vanessa Redgrave at Wyndhams
Theatre, London. For that role Vickery received the Clarence
Derwent Award for the best supporting performance and the London
Critics Award for the most promising newcomer.
Recently she directed two award
winning plays in Los Angeles.
She divides her time between California
